The German Federation of Materials Science and Engineering e. V. (BV MatWerk) and the German Research Foundation (DFG) call for applications of young researchers aiming at a 12 month stay in a German institution.
Entitled for this program are young researchers working in the field of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) who obtained an advanced degree after January 2007 and are currently affiliated with a European research institution or university outside Germany.
The program includes a certain number of grants to cover the expenses in Germany. Candidates should apply before June 30th, 2009. The selection process will be carried out by BV MatWerk and DFG, the notifications will be sent not later than July 2009. During their stay in Germany the participants will be invited for a workshop to be held in Berlin.
Applications should include:
- a concise description of the project to be carried out in Germany
- a letter of acceptance of the German host institution
- a detailed CV of the candidate with a list of publications
- two recommendation letters
